Pioneers win second straight shutout

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - If this is a habit, it's one the UW-Platteville men's soccer team won't mind. The Pioneers won their second straight 3-0 game, this time against Coe Saturday in the home opener.
For the second straight contest, Logan Rinderknecht and William Pretto scored all three goals. Rinderknecht, who had two goals in the season-opening win at Cornell, scored just 7:27 into Saturday's game with an assist from Brad Strobel. Pretto tallied a goal four minutes into the second half on a penalty shot and 5:25 later on an assist by Rinderknecht. Nate Miller had the shutout in the nets for the Pioneers.
The 2-0 Pioneers play host to North Central Monday at 5 p.m.
