PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team fell to the No. 17 Loras College Duhawks 2-1 on Thursday in Dubuque, Iowa.
After the Duhawks went up 2-0, junior Jon Stopple scored the lone goal for the Pioneers off a penalty kick with less than two minutes left in the game. This would be Stopple's seventh goal for the Pioneers, who fell to 8-4-3, this season.
Senior goalkeeper Scott Sibik recorded a whopping 13 saves in the loss, taking his season total to 49.
The Pioneers return to action on Sunday, Oct. 25 against IEC Japan at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium at 1 p.m.
