Pioneers defeat Kohawks 2-1 in double overtime
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s soccer team defeated the Coe College Kohawks 2-1 in a double overtime match on Wednesday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, improving their overall record to 5-2-3.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team defeated the Coe College Kohawks 2-1 in a double overtime match on Wednesday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, improving their overall record to 5-2-3.
The Pioneers logged the first goal of the game against the Kohawks. With seven minutes left in the first half, senior Andrew Muchowski scored his third goal of the season on a top right corner shot from ten yards out to take the Pioneers up 1-0.
In the beginning of the second half, the Kohawks responded to tie the game 1-1.
Senior goalkeeper Scott Sibik made a crucial save in the first overtime to take the game into second overtime play, where freshman Logan Rinderknecht scored his fourth goal of the season in the bottom right corner of the net to give the Pioneers the 2-1 win.
The Pioneers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Wisconsin Lutheran at 7 p.m.
