UW-Platteville's freshman Eric Gerber hit three-point bucket with 19 seconds to cut Loras' lead to two. Key free throws made by Nick Allen reduced the Pioneers deficit to one with seven seconds left. Loras' Connor Mooney made one of two free-throws to give the Duhawks a two point lead with five seconds, and UW-Platteville's Brett Stangel missed a contested game-winning three-pointer as time ran out.

The Pioneers' Joe Allen scored a team-high 15 points, while Eric Wall and Nick Allen each scored 13 points.

Loras' Tim Kelly scored a game-high 16 points followed by Tyson Handsaker with 12 points.

Joe Allen earned the Thanksgiving Classic MVP honors for his 33 points and 18 rebound weekend, and was joined on the all-tournament squad by Wall, Kelly, St. Olaf's Tucker Sheley and McPherson's Aaron Frazier. St. Olaf beat McPherson 66-54 in Sunday's first game.
