Cold shooting dooms Pioneers

UW-Platteville connected on just 25 percent of its shots and lost 54-32 at 22nd-ranked UW-La Crosse Wednesday.
With the Pioneers leading 13-12, the Eagles went on a 23-6 run, ending the first half with a 35-16 advantage. UWP then scored just six points in the first 18:38 of the second half.
The Eagles improved to 15-7 overall and 10-4 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Pioneers fell to 12-9, 7-6.
Chris Fehrenbach scored 14 points, while Chris Ask had 13 to lead the Eagles. No Pioneer was in double figures, as Mike Shaw's seven points led the team.
