Pioneers fall to hot Eagles

Robert Morris-Springfield started hot and remained so all Saturday night in beating UW-Platteville 82-74 in Springfield, Ill.

The Eagles scored the first nine points of the game and kept ahead of the Pioneers by shooting a blistering 67 percent from the field.

The NAIA Division II Eagles improved to 7-6 overall, while the Pioneers, ranked 13th in NCAA Division III, fell to 6-2. Both their losses have come to Eagles, as their only other one was vs. UW-La Crosse.

Charlie Lohoff poured in a career-high 21 points for the Pioneers, while Mike Jamerson totalled 16, Bo Richter 11 and Mike Shaw 9.

Shawn March and Corely Lee led the Eagles with 20 points apiece, and Tim Hahn had 18.
