January 4, 2005

UW-Platteville's road show ran into a blizzard Tuesday, both on the road and inside UW-Oshkosh's Kolf Sports Center. The host Titans beat the Pioneers, 82-60.

The Pioneers, playing their fifth straight road game--and their third straight in as many states--fell to 7-5 overall and 2-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. UW-Oshkosh improved to 11-3, 4-1.

UWP's Brandon Temperly poured in 23 points, matching his career high. LeVon Crawford added 13 points, and Brad Reitzner scored 11 points for the Pioneers.

Five players scored in double figures for the Titans, led by Jim Capelle's 18 points and eight rebounds. The Titans closed the first half half with a 24-10 run, taking a 32-18 lead into the locker room. The closest the Pioneers came in the second period was 62-51 with 8:52 remaining.

UWP plays at UW-Eau Claire Saturday at 5 p.m., concluding its six-game road trip.
