Cross garners two all-region accolades
The UW-Platteville’s Chas Cross was named second team All-West District by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and second team All-West Region by D3hoops.com.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Chas Cross was named second team All-West District by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and second team All-West Region by D3hoops.com.
Cross was selected first team All-WIAC as well as all-defensive team earlier this month. He led the WIAC in field goal percentage, shooting 62.8 percent, and ranked second in rebounds and blocked shots with 7.2 boards per game and 58 blocks. Cross led the team in scoring and ranked eighth in the WIAC, averaging 15.3 points, and totaled 30 steal, ranking 12th in the league.
The senior from Winnebago, Ill. ended his outstanding career with 1,336 points, putting him 12th in school history, and recorded the most career blocked shots (135) in program history. He shot 61.2 percent from the field during his four years, setting a new school record.
