GREENSBORO, N.C. – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) in conjunction with Rawlings named UW-Platteville right fielder Josh Moses to their 2018 Midwest All-Region Team, released today.
Moses led the Pioneers and finished top six in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) in virtually every offensive category. His .370 batting average was good for sixth in the conference, and is the highest by a Pioneer since 2010. Moses claimed the WIAC doubles title for the second consecutive season 20 two-baggers, breaking the school record of 16 he hit last season.
The Cedarburg, Wisconsin native becomes the eighth player for UW-Platteville to receive ABCA/Rawlings All-Region honors, and the first since Brett Benesh and Aaron Hopson in 2010. Moses also becomes just the second Pioneer to be selected First Team All-Region since ABCA/Rawlings selections began in 2003, joining the selection of Joe Lange in 2009.
