Pioneers of the Week

Justin Eichler -- Senior -- Mukwonago, Wis. / Mukwonago HS -- Throws

 

Eichler won the hammer and discus competitions at the Mississippi River Rumble hosted by the University of Dubuque on Saturday. His winning mark in the discus was a lifetime best throw of 54.18m (117' 9") that currently ranks first in the WIAC and second on the NCAA Division III List. Eichler winning mark in the hammer throw of 62.96m (206' 7") won the competition by over 21 and would have been good enough to lead the NCAA Division III List had he not thrown a further mark last week.

Hailey Campbell -- Freshman -- Wisconsin Dells, Wis. / Reedsburg -- Hurdles and Long Jump

Campbell won both the 100m hurdles and long jump at the Mississippi River Rumble hosted by the University of Dubuque this past weekend. The freshman ran a time of 15.65 in the 100m hurdles, which moved her to 10th on the UW-Platteville All-Time List. Her mark of 5.36m (17' 7") in the long jump moved her to seventh on the UW-Platteville All-Time List and currently sits fourth on the WIAC Honor Roll.
