Eichler competed in the hammer throw at the UW-Platteville/University of Dubuque Dual last Thursday and threw a lifetime best of 65.90m (216' 2'), which shattered his own school record and became the sixth-best throw in NCAA Division III history. The senior bested his prior top mark in the event by 10' 10" on his second throw of the competition, and also posted personal-best marks on his first and third throws as well. Eichler's early season throw is 19' 3" better than the next best hammer throw in DIII.

Taylor Roughen -- Junior -- Lake Mills, Wis. / Lake Mills -- Pitcher Roughen broke the Pioneers single season record for strikeouts in a game with 15 in a 6-0 win over Buena Vista last Friday. The junior pitched in three games last week for UW-Platteville and allowed no earned runs across 16.2 innings. Roughen struck out 26 total batters and gave up just 16 hits on the week. |
