Bio

Kelly Kerkenbush enters her second year at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.

Kerkenbush attended Loras College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology in May of 2020 and completed her Master of Athletic Training through Loras’ CAATE accredited program, in April of 2021. While at Loras College, Kelly completed her undergraduate internship with Building Better Athletes as an intern strength and conditioning coach. Kerkenbush also worked with various athletic teams at Loras College, UW-Platteville and the Dubuque Fighting Saints during her clinical education. During her graduate degree, Kelly received the Nora Schram scholarship which is awarded to a top Kinesiology or Sport Management student with a dedication to community and service. 

Kerkenbush is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association. She is also American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Certified (CPR/AED). 

In addition to her sports medicine role, Kerkenbush is a lecturer for UW-Platteville within the Health and Human Performance department.
