Evan Gates entered his first year at UW-Platteville as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach in the fall of 2023.

In May of 2023, Gates graduated form the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a degree in Health and Human Performance. Gates completed an internship in his final semester of his undergraduate degree at The University of Iowa within their Olympic Strength and Conditioning Department. While attending UW-Platteville Gates was a member of the Football team.

Gates is currently a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
