Bio

Dayna Hartje returned to her alma mater and entered her first year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Wisconsin- Platteville in the summer of 2022. Hartje received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 2020 and was a 4-year member of the Cheer and Stunt team. In 2022, Hartje earned her Master's of Athletic Training Degree from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. During graduate studies, Hartje completed clinical rotations in a variety of settings ranging from high school to USHL Tier I junior ice hockey. In addition, Hartje obtained over 1,000 clinical hours working with various sports teams at UW- Platteville. 

In 2020 Hartje was recognized by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association as the recipient of the National Student Writing Contest award for her graduate research regarding the care-seeking behavior of collegiate student-athletes.

Hartje is certified as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification and is licensed to practice in the state of Wisconsin. In addition, Hartje is certified by the American Red Cross as a Professional Rescuer.
