Cross Country Posts Several PRs at Regional Preview
NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville cross country teams ran a preview of the upcoming NCAA North Regional Course on Saturday morning at the Running with the Cows meet hosted by Carleton. The Pioneers men’s team finished fifth with 130 points, while the women took sixth with 216 points from the Carlton Campus Course in Northfield, Minnesota.

Men's Highlights
Junior Caden Schneider was the top finisher for the men's team, taking eighth overall in the field of 315 runners. He posted a time of 25:24.1 and was the second WIAC runner to cross the finish line.
Sophomore Zachary Sporaa was not far behind, taking 12th overall behind an 8k personal-best time of 25:32.7. With the strong finishes of Schneider and Sporaa, the Pioneers were one of just two teams to place two runners inside the top 12 at the meet.
The next three scorers for UW-Platteville were senior Korbin Eisler, junior Isaiah Kruckman, and sophomore Maxwell Sporaa. Eisler led the trio with a 34th-place finish at 26:06.5, while Kruckman was three places behind him at 26:12.4. Maxwell Sporaa rounded out the top five with a PR time of 26:14.4 to take 39th.
Women's Highlights
Senior Hannah Fliss led the women's team with a 10th-place finish behind a solid time of 22:42.8. She was the top WIAC finisher at the meet, placing two spots ahead of a runner from UW-Stevens Point.
The second runner to cross the line was junior Avery Brown, who posted a PR of 23:36.7 to take 37th overall in the field of 296 runners.
Sophomore Megan Hageman placed 54th with a time of 23:58.9 to finish as the third Pioneer at the meet, while senior Natalie Kreier ran a 24:18.7 to finish 65th overall. Rounding out the five scorers for UW-Platteville was freshman Caitlin Wirth, who came in 71st at 24:25.3.

The Pioneers will get a week off before heading to the Augustana Interregional Invite on Saturday, October 19. The meet will take place at the Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Illinois.
