Cross Country Hosts Pioneer Gender Equity Invite
CUBA CITY, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville cross country teams hosted the annual Pioneer Gender Equity Invite on Saturday morning at the Cole Acres Golf Course in Cuba City, Wisconsin. The men’s team placed second with 49 points while the women took fourth with 104 points.

Men's Highlights
Freshman Zachary Sporaa placed fourth overall and improved upon his time from last week with a mark of 26:01.3. Junior Jakob Eggen was just a couple seconds behind (26:04.2) and finished fifth overall.
Junior Korbin Eisler took ninth and posted a time of 26:16.2 which was over a minute faster than a week ago.
Sophomore Caden Schneider (26:37.7) and senior Caleb Christiansen (26:45.0) rounded out the top five Pioneers. Schneider placed 15th, followed by Christiansen, who took 16th.
Sophomore Isaiah Kruckman was the next UW-Platteville runner to finish with a time of 26:52.4 for 21st and senior Joey Madsen took 25th at 27:02.5.
Women's Highlights
Senior Hannah Fliss was the top finisher for the women with a time of 24:04.8, good for sixth overall. Junior Natalie Kreier was next, placing 12th at 24:25.6.
Sophomore Avery Brown came in 18th overall, crossing the line at 25:06.1. Freshman Kendra Downing (26:11.6) and sophomore Leah Digmann (27:13.3) rounded out the top five for UW-Platteville with 36th- and 56th-place finishes.
Sophomore Paige Guttmann was the sixth Pioneer to finish, placing 70th at 28:34.1. Sophomore Angela Meiners finished 75th overall behind a time of 28:51.1.
Up Next
The Pioneers head to the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invite next Friday. The meet will begin at 4:15 p.m. from the Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wisconsin.
