Pioneer cross country competes at the 2021 WIAC Championships
Colfax, Wis. - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference held the return of the cross country championships on Saturday, October 30 at Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wisconsin. Hosted by UW-Stout, the eight conference universities competed for the conference cross country title for the first time since 2019.

The first runner for the Pioneer men to cross the finish line, freshman Logan Bell, ran 25:47.6. Bell finished in 19th place individually at his debut conference championships. Following up in 33rd place, junior Caleb Christiansen ran 26:13.3, a lifetime best time for the 8,000m race. Riley Coulter, Aidan Peppard, and Hunter Reich completed the team score for the Pioneers. The UW-Platteville men's cross country team finished as a team in seventh place, scoring 182 points.
Finishing the 6,000m race first for the Pioneer women, Kaitlyn Galgon ran 24:30.7. Next up, Kirstie Ramsey ran 24:31.4. Galgon and Ramsey placed 44th and 45th individually, respectively. Natalie Kreier, Hannah Fliss, and Jessica Buss rounded out the team scoring. The UW-Platteville women's cross country team finished eighth in the team standings, scoring 213 points.
