Poser and Walden qualify for NCAA Nationals

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Sam Poser and Joel Walden were named individual automatic qualifiers for the 2013 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championship on Sunday. 

Poser and Walden were both one of the first seven athletes from the Midwest Region, who aren't a part of a qualifying team, to be selected to participate in the championship. 

Junior Walden ran his fastest 8,000-meter race in his career with a time of 24:43, good for 10th-place at Saturday's NCAA Midwest Regional. Fellow junior Poser was right on Walden's heels and crossed the finish line with at time of 24:45 for 11th-place.

Poser and Walden will run on Saturday, November 23 at the Hanover College cross country course in Hanover, Ind. at 12:30 p.m. local time.
