McDonald, Gartner Named Academic All-District
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Juniors Kierney McDonald and Bri Gartner of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team were named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) 2024 Academic All-District Team on Tuesday afternoon.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Juniors Kierney McDonald and Bri Gartner of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team were named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) 2024 Academic All-District Team on Tuesday afternoon.
McDonald, who holds a 4.00 cumulative grade point average as an Agribusiness major, was named to the Academic All-District Team for the second consecutive season. The junior, who was named a AVCA All-America Honorable Mention, averaged 3.39 kills per set and 0.91 blocks per set. McDonald posted a team-high hitting percentage of .298 and finished with 397 total kills on the season.
Gartner earned her first Academic All-District honors with a 3.935 GPA as a Biology major. The junior was named to the WIAC All-Defensive Team following a season that saw her average 4.95 digs per set, tops on the team. Garter recorded a season-high 38 digs on two separate occasions, including in a five-set win against Texas Lutheran on September 13.
