McDonald Named Academic All-District

The 2023 Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their performances both on the field and in the classroom. To be nominated, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and be in sophomore, junior, or senior standing.
McDonald, an Agribusiness major, earned WIAC Honorable Mention honors following a season that saw her finish second in the conference with 110 blocks. The sophomore reached 200 total kills for the second straight year and was ninth in the WIAC with a .272 hitting percentage. McDonald was named WIAC Defensive Player of the Week in late October and recorded five total blocks 11 times, including a season-high 10 (three solo, seven block assists) against Cornell.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early January.
