Pioneers Swept By Titans Wednesday
OSHKOSH, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team (19-7, 4-2 WIAC) was swept by No. 2 UW-Oshkosh (29-0, 6-0 WIAC) on Wednesday night inside the Kolf Sports Center in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team (19-7, 4-2 WIAC) was swept by No. 2 UW-Oshkosh (29-0, 6-0 WIAC) on Wednesday night inside the Kolf Sports Center in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
The Titans led throughout the opening set, winning 25-20 after pulling away behind an early 6-1 run. UW-Oshkosh controlled the second set with a quick six-point run, but the Pioneers battled back and cut the deficit to one at 14-13. The Titans held off the rally, closing with an 11-3 run to win 25-16 and send the match to set three. UW-Oshkosh wrapped up the sweep with a 25-22 win in the third set behind another six-point run.
Junior Madelyn Cooley paced the Pioneers with 11 kills while posting a team-high .389 hitting percentage. Junior Emma Carlson was second with eight kills, while sophomore Kierney McDonald and senior Camryn Johnston each added six. As a team, UW-Platteville finished with 35 kills in the match on a .098 hitting percentage.
Senior Shea Lauria recorded a match-high 15 digs, while senior Sam Rossetti (18) and sophomore Gracie Gibbens (12) each reached double figures in assists. Freshman Jacquelyn Gladstein totaled nine digs while playing in two sets.
The Pioneers return to action next Tuesday when they host Edgewood in the final non-conference match of the regular season at 7 p.m. for Senior Night.
