Volleyball goes 4-0 at UW-Platteville Invite, Asche and Kalinowski named All-Tournament

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Volleyball team defeated Olivet 25-25, 17-25, 25-23, 27-25 and Bethany Lutheran 24-26, 25-14, 25-19, 25-18 to finish 4-0. Sophomore Kaite Asche and freshman Stephanie Kalinowski were named to the All-Tournament team.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Volleyball team defeated Olivet 25-25, 17-25, 25-23, 27-25 and Bethany Lutheran 24-26, 25-14, 25-19, 25-18 to finish 4-0. Sophomore Kaite Asche and freshman Stephanie Kalinowski were named to the All-Tournament team. 

The Pioneers improve to 8-2 on the season.

In the 3-1 win over Olivet, the Pioneers had big offensive games from Asche, junior Hailey Youngren and sophomore Olivia Kudronowicz. Asche hit .308 with 10 kills, Youngren hit .292 with 10 kills and Kudronowicz hit .231 with 13 kills. Freshman Sam Rossetti led the team with 34 assists. 

Kalinowski led the defense with 23 digs and Kudronowicz chipped in 15 digs. Senior Katie Jones had one solo and three assist blocks. 

In the 3-1 win over Bethany Lutheran, Asche hit an incredible .647 with 12 kills. Sophomore Lita Solbrig led the team with 13 kills and a .429 hitting percentage. Kalinowski and Kudronowicz tallied 20 and 15 digs, respectively.

Rossetti recorded a double double with 36 assists and 12 digs. She added seven kills with a .455 hitting percentage and also led the Pioneers with five total blocks.
