PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - UW-Platteville volleyball finished their season with a 5-set loss to UW-River Falls Friday night on Bo Ryan Court.
UW-Platteville Volleyball celebrated its seniors, Grace Austin and Sarah Murphy, before falling 23-25, 26-24, 25-20 14-25, 15-11.
Pioneers had a convincing 25-14 4th set win but weren't able to take advantage of the momentum going into the 5th set. In the 5th set, the Pioneers got down 12-5 and the comeback fell short at 15-11.
CJ Johnson and Kaitie Asche took the most swings and were the most efficient Pioneers in the match. Johnson had 16 kills (.355) and added 16 assists. Asche notched 13 kills (.184).
Defensively, Ali Jaber led the team with 22 digs and Kaylee Schilling led the team with five block assists.
The Pioneers finished the season 9-23 (0-7 WIAC).
