Pioneers fall in weekend matches
UW-Platteville fell 0-3 in an away match against UW-La Crosse on Friday night to remain winless in conference play. On Saturday the Pioneers traveled to Waverly, Iowa and were defeated by Wartburg and Nebraska Wesleyan.

UW-Platteville fell 0-3 in an away match against UW-La Crosse on Friday night to remain winless in conference play. On Saturday the Pioneers traveled to Waverly, Iowa and were defeated by Wartburg and Nebraska Wesleyan.
The Pioneers fell to La Crosse 25-20, 25-19, 25-11, Wartburg 25-22, 25-13, 25-21 and Nebraska Wesleyan 25-16, 25-14, 25-19.
In their loss to UW-La Crosse, the Pioneers had a hard time generating offense for most of the night. CJ Johnson led the team with seven kills on 31 attacks. Olivia Kudronowicz led the defense with 22 digs.
Against Wartburg, Johnson led the offense again with nine kills (.269) and 10 assists. Kudronowicz led the team with 15 digs.
In their final match of the weekend against Nebraska Wesleyan, Johnson had 13 kills (.286) while Kudronowicz had 18 digs. Lauren Murphy led the team with 15 assists.
The Pioneers fall to 7-18 overall (0-4 WIAC) with the weekend losses.
On Tuesday, UW-Platteville is away at University of Dubuque in the Stoltz Center beginning at 7 PM.
