MADISON, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team split their two matches at Edegwood College on Saturday.
The Pioneers beat Rockford 25-14, 23-25, 25-13, 21-25, 15-12 and lost to Edgewood 25-22, 25-17, 21-25, 25-23.
In the victory over Rockford, CJ Johnson directed the offense with 38 assists and 3 kills. Olivia Kudronowicz and Kaite Asche had 13 and 12 kills, respectively. Katie Jones was the team's most efficient hitter with 9 kills and a .368 hitting percentage.
In the loss to Edgewood, Kudronowicz and Asche were the focal points of the offense. Kudronowicz finished with 19 kills while hitting .235 and adding 11 digs. Asche had 9 kills on .222 hitting and added 5 block assists.
The Pioneers return to conference action Wednesday, September 26th at 7:00 PM against UW-Eau Claire.
