Pioneers fall twice in Indiana
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville lost twice in Indiana Saturday, falling 3-0 to Manchester and 3-1 to host Franklin.

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville lost twice in Indiana Saturday, falling 3-0 to Manchester and 3-1 to host Franklin.
Manchester won a defensive battle 26-24, 25-18, 25-17. Neither team had a player register double figures in kills, as blocking and digs ruled the match. Katie Jones had four blocks for the Pioneers, while Karlie Niedert and Kielyn Kapugi each had three. Maddie Dower totaled 15 digs.
The Pioneers took the first set against Franklin 25-15, but the Grizzlies came back to take the next three, 29-27, 25-13, 25-13. Allison Jensen paced the Pioneers with 15 kills, and Kapugi added 13. Brooke Harvey and Amanda Lelivelt each registered 11 kills for Franklin, who improved to 10-5.
The 9-7 Pioneers play host to UW-Eau Claire Wednesday at 7 p.m.
