Pioneer volleyball splits Loras tournament 2-2
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team went 2-2 at the Loras College Tournament on Friday and Saturday in Dubuque, Iowa, taking their overall record to 5-4.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team went 2-2 at the Loras College Tournament on Friday and Saturday in Dubuque, Iowa, taking their overall record to 5-4.
After falling to Saint Mary's University (Minn.) 3-1 and defeating Wheaton College (Ill.) 3-2 on Friday, the Pioneers grabbed another win against St. Ambrose University 3-0 before losing to Wartburg College 3-0 in the final match of the tournament.
Sophomore setter Allie Carter and senior middle hitter Lauren Grady were named to the All-Tournament team for their performances throughout the weekend. Carter logged 131 assists and averaged 9.36 assists per set while also recording 27 digs and eight kills while Grady totaled 29 kills, 12 digs and 11 total blocks for the Pioneers throughout the tournament.
Sophomore outside hitter Kelley Lynch recorded 20 of her 41 total kills in the win against Wheaton College, leading the Pioneers in kills for the tournament.
On the defensive side, junior libero Lindsey Decker had 54 total digs throughout the tournament, with freshman Grace Austin logging 43.
The Pioneers return to the court on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wis. at 7 p.m.
