RIVER FALLS, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team was swept at UW-River Falls, 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-21) on Saturday in Karges Center.
The Pioneers' 10 service errors proved to be too much to overcome.
Freshman Merritt Johnson tallied a game-high 10 kills for the Pioneers, while fellow rookie Allison Jensen totaled six. Sophomore Lindsey Decker recorded 13 digs, followed by Haley Schaefer with 10.
River Falls didn't have a player with double-digit kills and was led by Rebecca Gasper with nine kills. UWRF's Lexi Pingel recorded a game-high 18 digs.
The Pioneers hosts the UW-Platteville Tournament on Oct. 3 and Oct. 4. UW-Platteville will play Clarke at 4 p.m. and Augustana at 8 p.m. on Friday.
