MENOMONIE, Wis. – The University Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team was setback by UW-Stout, 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 25-13, 25-21) on Friday in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
Junior Jennifer Schmidt led the Pioneers with 14 kills, followed by Lidia Frias with seven kills. Senior LeeAnn Mizgalski posted a team-best 15 digs and added five kills. Sophomore Lindsey Decker tallied 11 digs of her own.
The Blue Devils managed to control the net, out hitting the Pioneers with a 53-42 kills advantage and 11-7 edge on blocks. Stout had three players with double-digit kills.
The Pioneers look to bounce back on Saturday when they square off with UW-River Falls at 12 p.m.
