Pioneers' Dig for a Cure game set for Oct. 16 versus UWSP
For the sixth straight season, the UW-Platteville volleyball team will participate in the promotion to support Breast Cancer Awareness with a Dig for a Cure game. The Pioneers’ Dig for a Cure game is set for Wednesday, Oct. 16 versus conference foe UW-Stevens Point.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – For the sixth straight season, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team will participate in the promotion to support Breast Cancer Awareness with a Dig for a Cure game. The Pioneers' Dig for a Cure game is set for Wednesday, Oct. 16 versus conference foe UW-Stevens Point.
Each of the nine WIAC teams will be involved in at least one promotional event throughout the month of October. Various promotional activities will take place at each match to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Spectators are encouraged to wear pink clothing in support of all those affected by breast cancer. Over the past five seasons, conference volleyball programs have raised an amazing $113,037 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
