Briana Kaiser and Stephanie Kirchner Named to UW-Platteville Invitational All-Tournament Team
Briana Kaiser and Stephanie
Kirchner, members of the UW-Platteville volleyball team, were
recently named to the UW-Platteville Invitational All-Tournament
Team. The two led the Pioneers to a 4-0 tournament record in the
two-day tournament.
It is the second-straight All-Tournament Team honor for Kirchner,
who also was recognized previously at the Trinity Fall Classic
All-Tournament Team. During the UW-Platteville Invitational, the
Sussex, Wisconsin native recorded double-digit digs in three
matches and double-digit kills in two contests. She recorded 17
kills, 14 digs and seven blocks in the five-set win over Loras
(Sept. 9). Kirchner had 14 kills and hit at a .519 clip in the
four-set win over Central (Sept. 10).
Kaiser, a senior middle hitter from Cuba City, had a team-best 45
kills in the four matches and shared the team lead with Kirchner
recording 15 blocks. She averaged three kills and a block per set.
She had 14 kills in the striaght-set win over Millikin (Sept. 9)
and against Central (Sept. 10), she had 12 kills and six blocks in
the victory.
Also on the All-Tournament team were Caitlin Kouba - Central;
Kelsey England - Millikin; Claire Hermie - Monmouth and Regan Riley
- Loras.
