Pointers strike late to edge Pioneers 1-0
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s soccer team (11-4-1, 3-2-0) dropped its second WIAC game Saturday night, falling by a late goal 1-0 at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium to UW-Stevens Point (5-8-4, 2-2-2).

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team (11-4-1, 3-2-0) dropped its second WIAC game Saturday night, falling by a late goal 1-0 at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium to UW-Stevens Point (5-8-4, 2-2-2).
Cass Klitzke broke the draw in the 73rd minute off a pass from Katie Frierdich.
The Pioneers and Pointers each rattled off 12 shots apiece with both putting four on frame. Sophomore Alyssa Peterson led the Pioneers with three shots.
Senior Emma Ball tallied three saves.
The Pioneers will return to Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium on Sunday, October 23 for a 3 p.m. match against Finlandia University on senior day.
