UW-Stevens Point defeats Pioneers
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneers were defeated by the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point 2-0 on Saturday, Oct. 14 at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium on Homecoming night.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneers were defeated by the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point 2-0 on Saturday, Oct. 14 at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium on Homecoming night.
The Pointers took five shots on goal, with Maddy Hardyman and Kortnee Hass each scoring first-half goals to take a 2-0 halftime lead. UW-Platteville (6-8) held UW-Stevens Point (8-5-1) scoreless in the second half, but were unable to put together a scoring opportunity themselves. Pioneers keeper Alyssa Sickler recorded three saves and the only shot on goal was taken by Amber Lueder.
The Pioneers return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium at 7 p.m. against Ripon.
