The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneers were defeated by the University of Dubuque 1-0 on Wednesday, Sept. 27 in Dubuque, Iowa.
The match up was an even one as the Pioneers had 6 shots at the goal and Dubuque had 8. Of those 8 shots, goalie, Alyssa Sickler, saved 7 of them, ultimately making it a close game and a fight for Dubuque to win.
Records now read Pioneers 5-4, Dubuque 4-4-1.
The Pioneers return to action on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the UW-Eau Claire at noon.
