Carroll University scored on its first four shots and went to beat host UW-Platteville 7-1 Friday afternoon in the 2017 season opener.
Kasi Pagasch scored 1:32 into the contest, and Carly Oboikovitz scored two more in the next seven minutes for a quick Carroll lead.
Anna Sobal tallied UW-Platteville's lone goal, coming off a free kick at the 41:12 mark, cutting Carroll's lead to 4-1.
First-year Coach Emily Ryan brings her Pioneers back onto the field Wednesday for a home match against Knox at 7 p.m.
