Pioneers tie Edgewood in final home game
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s soccer team tied the Edgewood College Eagles 0-0 in double overtime on Wednesday Oct. 26. The tie moves the Pioneers to 6-10-1 on the season. The game was the final home game of season for the Pioneers.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team tied the Edgewood College Eagles 0-0 in double overtime on Wednesday Oct. 26. The tie moves the Pioneers to 6-10-1 on the season. The game was the final home game of season for the Pioneers.
Neither team allowed their opponent many scoring chances in the game, as the Eagles only managed 4 total shots in the game, and only 1 shot on goal, while the Pioneers were able to take 3 shots on goal in the game. The goalies were able to make every save in the tightly contested game, as Sabelle Seabrook of Edgewood was able to make 3 saves, and Alyssa Sickler of UW-Platteville made a save in the final seconds of regulation to send the game to overtime.
The Pioneers will close out the season on the road Saturday Oct. 29 against UW-River Falls. UW-River Falls will enter the game with a record of 7-8-2 on the season, and a 3-3-1 record in the WIAC conference.
