Pioneers Fall 5-0 to Luther College
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s soccer team lost 5-0 to the Luther College Norse Wednesday at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium. This loss drops the Pioneers to 4-5 on the season.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team lost 5-0 to the Luther College Norse Wednesday at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium. This loss drops the Pioneers to 4-5 on the season.
The Luther College Norse got on the board late in the first half, with Ellie Bunz scoring an unassisted goal.
Luther College was able to open their lead up in the second half. McKenzie Lundquist scored seven minutes into the second half, and only two minutes later Ellie Bunz scored her second goal of the game, giving the Norse a 3-0 lead. Ellie Bunz added her third goal of the game 16 minutes into the half, and her sixth of the year. The scoring was concluded by a Melisse Chasse goal with 26 minutes remaining in the game. The victory pushed the Norse to 5-2-1 on the year.
The Pioneers will next play Saturday, Oct. 1 at 6:30 p.m. at home against UW-Eau Claire. UW-Eau Claire is 3-5-1 on the season, and is coming off of a road victory against Dubuque.
