Rash's six saves not enough for women's soccer
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s soccer team fell to the UW-River Falls Falcons on Saturday evening, 2-0, at Pioneer Stadium. Although junior goalkeeper Katie Rash saved six goals, the two allowed was enough for a Falcon victory.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team fell to the UW-River Falls Falcons on Saturday evening, 2-0, at Pioneer Stadium. Although junior goalkeeper Katie Rash saved six goals, the two allowed was enough for a Falcon victory.
The first of the two goals came with under a minute left in the first period when a Falcon opponent put in a free kick from about 10 yards out. The Pioneers entered the break down 1-0.
About halfway through the second period the Falcons put in their second goal following a steal from about 20 yards out. For the remaining minutes neither team was able to capitalize on scoring opportunities.
The Pioneers had two shots on goal from Miranda Holle and Morgan Phillips, but neither were able to connect.
The women will try to rebound on Monday when they travel to Madison to take on the Edgewood Eagles.
