PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team sent the seniors out on a night they will never forget, shutting out UW-Oshkosh, 1-0, on Saturday at Ralph E. Davis Pioneers Stadium on Senior Night.
The shutout marked the first time in school history that the Pioneers beat the Titans in back-to-back years. UW-Platteville defeated UWO 2-1 last year in Oshkosh.
Freshman Anna Sobal was at the right spot at the right time, as she scored the game-winning on a rebounded shot from Julie Divita in the 78th-minute.
Sophomore Mandy Taylor had to make one for big save in the final 12 minutes, and completed the shutout with eight saves.
The Pioneers end their season just a game under .500 at 9-10 and finished league play 2-6.
