Women's Soccer wins 3-2 decision at Buena Vista

STORM LAKE, Iowa -- A pair of goals by Lindsey Harms lifted the University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team past Buena Vista, 3-2, on Tuesday at Storm Lake, Iowa.
The Beavers got in front early with a goal in the 10th-minute. The Pioneers had a number of opportunities, outshooting BV 10-2, but had no goals to show for it in the first 45 minutes.
Harms tied the game up at 1-1 in the 51st-minute, but BV answered five minutes later to retake the lead 2-1.
Harms found the equalizer in the 73rd-minute, 2-2, and was assisted by Julie Divita.
Five minutes later, Emily Phillips scored the game-winner off a rebounded shot from Alex Goff, 3-2.
The Pioneers' Katie Rash made two saves in the final five minutes of the game to keep the one-goal lead.
UW-Platteville ended the night outshooting BV 27-12 and posted a 9-2 corner kick advantage.
The Pioneers return home on Saturday for their annual Suicide Awareness game against UW-Eau Claire at 2 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear yellow to support the cause, and there will be a chance to make a donation at halftime to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
