DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer fell to Dubuque 2-1 on Tuesday at Oyen Field.
The Spartans struck first in the 21st-minute when UD's Liz Frazier scored an unassisted goal.
A shallow cross in the box by Yamilex Jaramillo to Anna Sobal tied the game up at 1-1 in the 35th-minute.
UD out shot the Pioneers 12-3 in the first half .
The Spartans' Megan Siepler scored the eventual game-winner in the 64th-minute.
UW-Platteville had a couple of chances in the final 25 minutes but couldn't get past UD's goalkeeper, who made four saves down the stretch.
The Pioneers return to conference play on Saturday with a trip to UW-River Falls at 5 p.m.
