PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team shutout Lawrence, 2-0 on Sunday at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
The Pioneers played a stellar first half, only allowing two shots and put 10 of their 13 shots on goal. UW-Platteville got on the board in the 12th-minute when Yamilex Jaramillo scored off of her own rebound right in front of the net.
UW-Platteville's Julie Divita delivered a perfect pass over the Viking defense to Bianca Mahoney and Mahoney took care of the rest, scoring from seven yards out in the 61st-minute, 2-0.
Katie Rash had to make three big saves in the final 20 minutes of the game to keep the shutout live, as the Pioneers ended up out shooting the Vikings, 25-11.
UW-Platteville travels to Dubuque on Tuesday with game time set for 7 p.m.
