STEVENS POINT, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team was nipped by the Pointers, 1-0, at UW-Stevens Point on Saturday.
The Pointers managed to get a ball over the Pioneer defense in the 34th-minute and UWSP's Sarah Meylor went on to score the only goal of the day.
The Pioneers' best chance came with 12 minutes to go when Julie Divita's free kick was pushed over the top of the goal.
UW-Platteville returns to Pioneer Stadium on Wednesday when they host Finlandia at 5:15 p.m.
