Divita and Taylor lead Women's Soccer past Clarke
A pair of goals from Julie Divita and 12 saves from Mandy Taylor led the UW-Platteville women’s soccer team past Clarke, 2-1 on Wednesday.

DUBUQUE, Iowa – A pair of goals from Julie Divita and 12 saves from Mandy Taylor led the University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team past Clarke, 2-1 on Wednesday.
"This was a great team win. Mandy kept us in the game with some huge saves, and Julie stepped up big and put away two big opportunities," said head coach Allison Stringer.
Taylor made four first half saves to keep the game scoreless to go into half.
Divita netted the game's first goal in the 65th minute, but the Crusaders tied it up in the 75th minute. It only took the Pioneers a minute to regain the lead with a goal by Divita.
Taylor sealed the 2-1 victory with three big saves down the stretch.
The Pioneers return to the pitch on Monday, Sept. 15 when they host Lakeland for their home opener at 5 p.m.
