Cushman Named Academic All-District

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - Junior David Cushman of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team has been named to the Academic All-District At-Large Team as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), it was announced on Tuesday.

The Academic All-District teams recognized the nation's top student-athletes for the performances both on the mat and in the classroom. To be nominated, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and be in sophomore, junior, or senior standing. 

Cushman, a mathematics major from Whitewater, Wisconsin holds a 3.837 cumulative GPA. 

This season, Cushman finished with a 12-14 record, and placed 6th at the WIAC Championships and 8th at the NCAA DIII Upper Midwest Regional while wrestling at 157 pounds.
