Wrestlers top Loras 30-13 in opening dual
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team opened its dual season with an impressive 30-13 victory over visiting Loras Thursday night.

The Pioneers won seven of the 10 individual matches, including pins by Zach Stenger (125 pounds) and Scott Arneson (133) to give the Pioneers a quick 12-0 lead. Carter Barkema added a pin at 149, and Isaac Brosinski (165), Jon Goetz (174) and Grant Wedepohl (184) won three straight decisions for a 27-13 Pioneer advantage. D'Andre Johnson closed the match with an 8-3 win at 285 and the final 30-13 score.
The Pioneers head to Cedar Rapids, Iowa Saturday for the Coe College Invite.
