Freshman Pioneers impressive in loss to Vikings
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team fell to the Augustana College Vikings 28-10 on Thursday in Rock Island, Ill., falling to 3-4 on the season.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. —The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team fell to the Augustana College Vikings 28-10 on Thursday in Rock Island, Ill., falling to 3-4 on the season.
Three Pioneers prevailed in their respective weight classes, including Trevor Harsh, Grant Wedepohl and D'Andre Johnson, all freshmen for the Pioneers.
Harsh won in a 9-4 decision over Augustana's Davis Baxter in the 141-weight-class, scoring three points for the Pioneers.
In the 184-weight class, Wedepohl dominated his Viking opponent, winning by a major decision 12-0 to gain four more points for the Pioneers.
The Pioneers' final three points came from Johnson, improving his record to 21-3 this season, as he won in a 10-5 decision over Augie's Jack Seaman.
The Pioneers return to action on Friday, Jan. 22 at the Milwaukee School of Engineering in Milwaukee at 7 p.m.
