Ferguson earns All-WIAC honors

MADISON, Wis. -- Sophomore Cole Ferguson was selected to the 2013-14 All-WIAC Wrestling Team, the league announced on Thursday afternoon. 

Ferguson was named second team and went 2-0 at the 2014 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship to help the Pioneers finish fifth on Feb. 15. 

Ferguson was named All-WIAC for the second year in a row, after gathering second team honors last season. The Joliet, Ill. native is 16-5 this season at 125 pounds and is 42-18 in his collegiate career. 

UW-Platteville wrestles at the NCAA West Regional on Saturday, March 1, hosted by Augsburg College in Minneapolis. Wrestling begins at 9 a.m.
