Crocco and Yaros lead Pioneers at MSOE Invite
UW-Platteville wrestling team finished fifth out of 11 teams at the MSOE Invitational on Saturday with eight Pioneers earning top-six places.

MILWAUKEE – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team finished fifth out of 11 teams at the MSOE Invitational on Saturday with eight Pioneers earning top-six places.
Senior Peter Crocco took home the 157-title while junior Sean Yaros claimed the 197-title. Crocco defeated top-seeded and 2011 National Qualifier Joseph Atwell from Central, 12-7, to take the 157-pound championship. Yaros pinned third-seed Jake Reuteler from Concordia (Wis.) at the 4:39 mark garnering 197-pound title.
Freshmen Mason Bohm and Mike Uliana finished in third-place. Bohm beat Lakeland's Marcus McCauley, 9-6, in the third-place match at 141-pounds, while Uliana fell to Crocco in the semi-finals, but defeated Concordia's (Wis.) David Tuomi, 11-5, at 157-pounds in the third-place match.
Rookie Cole Ferguson fell to third-seeded Wesley Azariah from St. Olaf in an intense, 4-3, third-place match at 125-pounds. Fellow freshmen Randy Wade topped St. Olaf's Alex Evan, 11-6, in the fifth-place match at 165-pounds. Senior Abe Graziano fell to Lakeland's Jeremy Kroeger in the fifth-place match at 197-pounds to finish sixth.
The Pioneers go back to conference dual meets on Friday and Saturday and travel to UW-Stevens Point on Friday and UW-Eau Claire on Saturday.
