Bio

Pete Reif returned to UW-Platteville in 2022 after serving as head women's golf coach at UW-Platteville from the program's inception in 1999 to 2017.

He has earned the WIAC Coach of the Year award in 2001, 2002 and 2010.

Coach Reif led the Pioneers to second place in the WIAC in 2004, and coached one of his golfers (Ahna Hendrickson) to second in the league in 2005.

UW-Platteville began playing women's golf at the varsity level in the 1999-2000 school year under his direction. In 2002, they captured their first tournament title, winning the Clarke triangular. The year was also highlighted by Krista Puttkammer earning the conference's Scholar-Athlete Award. The Pioneers successfully defended their Clarke tournament title in 2003 and also tied for the UW-Stevens Point Invitational championship.

Reif has 40 years of experience in golf; in addition, he also is a teaching golf professional at the Platteville Golf & Country Club. Reif has been a member of the Professional Golf Assocation since 1980.
